Houston Technology and E-waste Recycling Company, TechnoCycle, Recognized among Houston Business Journal’s Fast 100 2012

Technocycle’s Growth in Texas and Expanded Service Offerings Secure its Position on the HBJ List of Fastest Growing Private Houston Companies

HOUSTON – November 5, 2012 –  E-waste disposal and recycling services company, TechnoCycle, is named among the Houston Business Journal’s prestigious listing of Houston’s fastest growing private companies – Houston’s Fast 100 2012.

TechnoCycle owner and founder Mike Buckles was recognized along with other leading Houston entrepreneurs at the Houston’s Fast 100 luncheon recently.  This recognition comes after one of the most active years for the company so far – opening an expansive new facility serving broader e-waste needs and securing R2v3 (Responsible Recycling) certification.

According to Buckles, the company remains committed to setting the highest standards for  responsible disposal and recycling of e-waste and this recognition is affirmation that raising the bar in business practice can result in success.

“We have remained unwavering in our commitment to ensuring data security, environmental responsibility and health and safety.  And I believe that our clients truly see the value in this.  It is an honor to be recognized for setting such standards by a journal as respected as the Houston Business Journal,” said Buckles.

The Houston’s Fast 100 list is compiled after a detailed assessment of area businesses, who have sustained a two-year growth and have earned at least $1 million in revenue in 2011.  The company must be headquartered within the 10-county Houston metropolitan area – conducting business in Houston for a minimum of five years.

TechnoCycle, which also completed the rigorous qualification process to achieve compliance to the environmental ISO 14001:2004 and health & safety OHSAS 18001:2007 standards, ensures that hazardous electronic waste is not exported to developing countries and is recycled in accordance with the most secure practices.

Formally registered with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as an electronics recycler, TechnoCycle partners with its clients to develop sustainable solutions for managing data security, environmental compliance, and logistical challenges related to the disposal of their end-of-life electronics.
